Raise your hand if you DON’T need an arm lift

Losing weight is a healthy thing to do. There's no question. Weight loss decreases your chances of heart disease, diabetes, joint problems and a host of other ailments.

But diet, exercise and bariatric surgery do not reduce the amount of skin on your body. You will feel good and look healthy, but the extra skin can give you a sagging look. One part of your body where the sagging is most visible is the upper arms. An arm lift can recontour the arms to give them a much more toned look.

The 37-year-old woman in this photo (compliments of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons), had lost 100 pounds. The contouring surgery removed the excess tissue. The photo was taken 3 months after surgery.
